‘As I was diagnosed with a very rare form of cancer in 2017 I recently had the idea to release some of my backlog, stuff I've done/recorded years ago but that remained, for whatever reason, unreleased. Simply because I don't know how much time I have left to release them.
This is a brief album I've done in 2006 and encoded in 128kbps although I think 192kbps or higher would have been the default option back then (I didn't make any copies in a lossless format), a bitrate that was more common back in that day. Today this bitrate is considered somewhat too low for high fidelity but too high for lobit.
I really don't fully remember what the album title is all about, I think it was a sarcastic-ironic demand to give props to inconspicuous persons (Meier being a very common name in Switzerland).
The person on the cover is someone with a different spelling of the name Meier (he's not the person I tell you about in the next paragraph).
Ten years later after the poduction of this one album, one of those low key persons that have crossed my lifepath has gathered (inter-)national attention. On a monday monrning, Thomas Nick (not the person on the cover), with whom I attented gym class during canton school about 15 years earlier, bestially murdered a neighboring family of four in order to get sexual access to the thirteen year old boy and some money (for a visit to the casino that evening).
Back in canton school it was I who got reprimanded by so called teachers and public servants for the way I am, while the officals were happy how well-behaved and conformable Thomas was. I remember the gym teacher at one point giving the whole class a collective punishment because of something I did (or something I didn't do), in order to "motivate" them to "motivate" me to participate more enthusiatically in very important bodily excercises. What could symbolize more tellingly the inadequacies of the Western public school system? Now he's in prison and I have cancer. True story.’
